Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan model, actress and model predominantly active in the Indian film industry. She is also the winner in the prestigious 2007 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez has Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial heritage, spent most of her growing up in Bahrain. Her degree was in mass communication at the University of Sydney and worked as a reporter for a television station in Sri Lanka for a considerable period before venturing into the modelling industry. She was the top Sri Lankan models following her participation during Miss Universe 2006. In 2009, as part of the course of her professional journey to India, she landed the part as Jasmine in Sujoy's film "Aladin" by SujoyGhosh'. The film was her first big break in 2011 when she played the lead female role in Murder 2. Fernandez had a successful professional career post-film, that was a huge success at the box office as well as in the eyes of critical acclaim. Since then, she has been in films such as Housefull 2 & 3, "Race 2", "Definition Of Fear" as well as Judwaa 2. The actress has received numerous awards and is a brand representative for several global companies. A leader in the local community, she's an active supporter of several charitable and non-profit organizations.
