Meagan Good was born Panorama City, Los Angeles in the 8th of August, 1981. Her mother Tyra Wardlow Doyle worked as her manager when she was in her teens. Her family consisted of three brothers within Canyon Country in California and started her acting career at the age of four. She worked as an additional in TV shows such as Doogie Howser Amen & M.D. as she began her career. When she was 13, she was cast as Friday in the year 1995. In 1997, she first became known for her role in Eve's Bayou as Cisely Batiste who is a troubled teenage girl. The film earned her the first N.A.A.C.P. nomination for this film. Image Award nominated.
